2011/2012 Campaign Raises $679,056 for Marshall County
United Way volunteers, who have been working tirelessly for weeks asking friends, neighbors and co-workers to help those in need by giving to United Way, have reason to celebrate. United Way's 2011 Board President, Rodney Edmondson, announced that volunteers raised $679,056 in spite of the dismal economy.
"We celebrate this community's accomplishments and we recognize the award-winning employee campaigns that you made possible, said Steve Marshall. "The outstanding efforts of campaign coordinators, the support and encouragement of CEO's, and the generosity of each donor added to the success of this year's campaign. It is a reflection of our community's focus on measurable outcomes. On behalf of United Way volunteers, the community partner agencies whose programs receive United Way funding, and the thousands of individuals and families who benefit from our community's caring and generosity - THANK YOU!
