Alabama Gives Day - Bravo and Thank You!

In a 24 hour period, we received 8 donations, totaling $565. It is because of the passion and dedication you have for improving EDUCATION, FINANCIAL STABILITY, HEALTH and BASIC NEEDS that we are able to have a profound impact on the lives of others. Together we can profoundly change the lives of children and young people, struggling families, frail seniors and those with disabilities in our community – helping them to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide leadership and support to identify community needs and leverage resources to create measurable, positive, and lasting changes in people's lives throughout Marshall County.

When you join forces with United Way, you don't simply change lives, you change your community. The serious problems that devastate people's lives and threaten the welfare of our entire community are many and varied. However, most arise from the same set of root causes. Root causes that we, at United Way, in collaboration with our community partners are working hard to eliminate.

Our Vision

We see a safe community with strong families working together, successful children moving toward becoming productive citizens, the disabled reaching their full potential, and senior citizens maintaining their independence. We envision a community of diverse people with a shared vision of caring for one another.

To do this we will:

•  Energize and inspire people to make a difference
•  Craft human care agendas within and across our communities
•  Build coalitions around these agendas
•  Increase investments in these agendas by diversifying our development efforts and support those of others
•  Measure, communicate and learn from the impact of our efforts
•  Reflect the diversity of the communities we serve
